Kay obtained Blc. Ojai (no cultivar name is given) January 1, 1957 from "Mrs. Hamilton" (conceivably Ruth, wife of Glenn Hamilton, from South Coast Orchid Society), with two "good" flowers. She obtained a plant of cultivar 'Verti' from Hans Gubler on April 22, 1960.
