Kay obtained a division of B. glauca from "Flo." (probably a Mr. Flother, the source of several of her plants), apparently about June, 1957 (KF VII / A / 2 p. 18). (Who was Mr. Flother? About this time, there are a few isolated mentions in the press of Eric H. Flother and his wife Virginia, who resided in Arcadia. This couple was Erich Hermann Flother, born in Berlin, Germany May 18, 1896, who married Virginia Evelyn Adams in Los Angeles October 1, 1935. Beyond that, no further information)
