\At the time Kay acquired her plants, several varieties or subspecies then assigned to C. guttata were in circulation. Eventually, C. guttata leopoldii became C. leopoldii, and then C. tigrina, the latter perhaps named by someone who had never seen a tiger. There is no indication where Kay obtained this plant.
