Lc. Prism Palette 'Kay', January, 1977. The cultivar name on the slide was originally 'Christmas Candy', then Kay crossed it out and wrote 'Kay'. Nevertheless, this is the earliest mention of the cultivar name 'Christmas Candy', which Kay applied to a very similar plant that later found its way into some of the Stewart's Orchids catalogs. Several more slides from January and February, 1977 were relabeled in the same way.
