The photo looks like it was taken at an exhibition or sale, a sample of Landamar Orchids' seedling lot number 114 (still to be confirmed through Landamar's sales lists, if they can be found). In Kay's notes, it appears she obtained her Telegraph Hill from Westenberger Orchids, and first flowered it in 1958. However, her plant was extremely similar to the one shown here, so perhaps the Westenbergers had purchased this same plant and Kay obtained a division from them. Telegraph Hill was registered by Rod McLellan Co. in 1954, so there was time for seedlings and perhaps some divisions to circulate by the time Kay first saw it.
