The cultivar name, recalling a town in Honduras (the name means "singing frogs"), was used by Grayce Hecker for some of her plants. Grayce exhibited this cultivar in November, 1952 at the OSSC meeting in Hollywood, CA, receiving a Bronze Award. Kay got a division of this plant from the Westenberger's apparently in January, 1958.
