Parentage: C. aurantiaca × L. Coronet
Current nomenclature: Cattlianthe Chit Chat
While this hybrid was registered by Fred A. Stewart, Inc. in 1965, it seems to have been little known until the cultivar 'Tangerine' received HCC/AOS at Long Beach monthly judging, March 27, 1972, when exhibited by Stewart's. It has been popular ever since. The source of Kay's plant is unknown.
