A letter and typscript from Frank Fordyce, July 14, 1980 of an article for the AOS Bulletin states that Mime was one of the crosses originated by Kay. At that time, however, the cross had already been registered in 1974 by Rod McLellan Co., without listing Kay as the originator. Kay also noted at least once that Mime was one of her crosses ("Mine", KF I / B / 2 / b).
