Kay's plant came from Armacost & Royston with two "large" flowers of "good shape and substance", February 1, 1957, "extra fine". In its next flowering, January 10, 1958, there were four flowers, but with "dry seples" (=sepals!). It went on to produce two flowers on February 15, 1959, and then three more, "excellent", on April 15, 1959. Kay shared this plant with Jerry Kulaja.
