The earliest award was HCC/AOS HCC/ODC, as rothschildianum, July 20, 1965, at Oakland monthly judging, Oakland, CA, exhibited by Mr. and Mrs. Charles E. Edwards, San Francisco, CA. Given that provenance, it is hard to understand the collection number K70U1 listed on this slide, unless it means that the Keyes acquired it in 1970 as a plant that had been imported by Mr. Edwards from an "U"nknown location.
